      As wonderful as pets are, we strictly cannot allow them on the property.

      Early check-in is not allowed. As a beach homestay, we don’t have a lobby or reception area for waiting.

      Late check-out may be allowed if there are no guests after you, and is subject to additional fees.

    • Do you allow walk-ins, day tours, or day guests?

      No. We only accept overnight bookings β€” no walk-ins, day tours, or day guests. This keeps the space exclusive and peaceful for our staying guests.

    • What are the activities/items that are not allowed in Tropical Kanakbai and Dahican Beach?

      ➊ No loud setups – No large/loud speakers, microphones, videoke, or karaoke.

      βž‹ No smoking or vaping inside the rooms.

      ➌ No tents allowed on the property.

      ➍ No fishing – Dahican Beach is an Environmentally Critical Area (ECA) and marine sanctuary as declared by the Local Government of Mati. The beachfront of Tropical Kanakbai is included in this protected zone.

      Yes! Swim, snorkel near the reef, or enjoy the sandy spots β€” Kanakbai is just a small part of the beach.

    • Are there surfing areas nearby?

      Yes, about 15 mins by paddle from our reef β€” but it depends on the tides.

      Tropical Kanakbai ensures guest safety through the presence of a gatekeeper, a night guard, 24/7 CCTV surveillance, and a lifeguard on duty to help ensure guest safety.

      We are not a resort or hotel, so we don’t have a restaurant or offer free meals.

      Our accommodations come equipped with utensils, cooking equipment, and a refrigerator.

      There is also a store inside the property for essentials (oil, charcoal, condiments, drinks, snacks, etc).

      There are no restaurants inside the homestay premises.

      You may order from the delicious local restaurants of Mati through Ipamalihog Kay Lolo (IKL) delivery services.
